AOTW | bodies of divine infinite and eternal spirit - all the songs I know about fire
Despite their sheer volume of music the bodies of divine infinite and eternal spirit have shared over the years, bodies consider all the songs i know about fire their first official album, recorded at a farm on a property run only on solar power (unexpectedly), allowing them to record just one instrument at a time – near the antithesis of how they would usually operate as a band. Each track on the album serves as a prayer or meditation on a particular emotion (more accurately, a fire) and the labelled ideas we have on sensorial states. all the songs i know about fire speaks to fire in a sense not too dissimilar to William Blake’s conception; fire as the inherent passion, creativity, vibrancy, violence, eccentricity, desire and energy within all things.
🎶 TOP 20 | Sept 30th - Oct 7th 🎶
Celebrate the passion and talent of our youth with Spinifex Gum at QPAC on October 20th.
Spinifex Gum combines the beauty of a choir of young Indigenous female singers with contemporary songwriting that speaks to issues of our time.
Disarming and uplifting audiences across Australia, Spinifex Gum brings together the sound of the Marliya choir with the music of Felix Riebl and Ollie McGill (The Cat Empire).
High energy, high impact, and hauntingly beautiful, this fearless music lays bare the injustices faced by Indigenous Australians and shines a light on the strength of those who fight for their community.
