๐Ÿฆพ ๐Ÿ‘“ Living With Disability? Wanna Get Involved at 4ZZZ? ๐Ÿฆป๐Ÿฉผ

At 4ZZZ we aim to give a platform to people who are often unheard or forgotten. The station has over 45 years of history with inclusion and is looking to further engage with communities that are living with disability with funding from Volunteering Queensland.

The 4ZZZ Disability Engagement Project aims to increase the representation of people with disabilities within 4ZZZ both volunteering within the station off air as well as presenters on air.

The wonderful Volunteers Coordinator, Salty, has put together a form (linked here) so that we can work out how best to accommodate your needs so we can get you into the station!

We’re really looking forward to meeting you and helping you start your journey at 4ZZZ!

If you have more questions please feel free to email Salty directly at salty@4zzz.org.au

๐Ÿฅ AOTW | Pop Radio - Small Steps, Tiny Doors ๐Ÿฅ

From the AOTW Committee - "This is the debut LP for Pop Radio's Small Steps, Tiny Doors'. The story begins with Alex Halsey’s decision to make a cross country voyage in his Grandfather’s Falcon, with a box trailer full of music gear. Perth to Sydney via the desert, where he dialled in the Pop Radio sound during the pandemic. Then from Sydney to the Northern Rivers, where the album was layered to tape from a home studio visited by floodwaters. 10 thoughtful, psych-tinged arrangements soundtrack this journey of self-discovery, which begins and ends with small steps and tiny doors."

โ“ Zed Trivia | Penelope Glassโ“

Penelope Glass - “It was late 1983, after the Popular Theatre Troupe was defunded. I was playing the role of a punk in a squat in the play "Plastik" at La Boite and working as Admin Coordinator at 4ZZZ.”

We believe the photographer to have been Kerry O'Rourke who was a former 4ZZZ Journalist.

Penelope has been featured on the Zed airways earlier this year discussing Sex, Drugs, and Rock ‘n’ Roll during the 80s.
